A fresh clear morning greeted the gang. After the usual catch ups the gangs separated for work.
Adrian C & Bill R went down the track to Alresford, Keith H & Pete went up the track to Alton to do line inspections & point oiling.
A two steam & one diesel service was the order of the day.
Eddie, Martin ,Tony & Ian R went chair nut oiling from Four Marks down towards Ropley.
Once the walkers came back Adrian & Bill went up to 55 1/4 milepost to replace a broken junction fish plate, and on the return to base John & Corina joined them. They then drove up to Chawton Heights Hut to take down the chimney which had frost damage. The bricks were removed & cleaned ready for the rebuild hopefully pending good weather, next week.
Last Saturday Neil & Chris rebuilt the Grosvenor Hut chimney.
