As I had to work on Saturday, I decided to spend a spare morning while the weather was dry, strimming the area by the railway pway huts.
With the bladed strimmer now back after some repairs, I was able to spend time opening up further ground on top of the bank at Northside. Until a few years ago this was always under grass. However, time and non-attendance of clearing the bank have taken there toll.
After some 2 hours work, the picture bellow shows the opened up view from near the bridge at Northside looking back to the hut.
Also on the way back to base I went over the ground by the Grosvenor hut to help keep the weeds down. A little more time in this area is required, before we can seed successfully...............
