It was a snowy start at M&4M in the morning. Eddie, Martin W, Brian Ha, Keith H, Adrian N and John attempted to get out of the yard in Wickham No.2 (trailer out of action with 2 punctures on No.1!), but the thin layer of snow on the rails made it difficult! Perseverance finally prevailed however, and they made a slow journey up the line to the Butts where they recovered two panels worth of sleepers. A break for breakfast at the station cafe in Alton was taken and a return to M&4M was made by midday without problems.
They then took a trip down the line to The Grosvenor hut and subsequently Ropley Works to collect chair bolts that after lunch were "freed" up and returned to the hut before packing up for the day.
