Bill and Brian Hi headed off of the line inspection to Alresford with Adrian's N and C and Pete Alton bound. This left John, Eddie, Brian Ha, Martin W, Keith H and Jamie to continue with the fishplate oiling task between M&FM and Ropley, starting just past the up distant colour light signal and finishing at Wanders Curve, a distance of around 3/4 of a mile. Frequent stops were required to unblock the oil applicator (or LAFF as it is known), which slowed them down a bit, and Corina dropped off a much needed can of fuel from the passing train in the afternoon.
The returning line walkers were met by Keith B at base, and they spent the afternoon up the line resuming the brick reclaiming task at the site of Butts Junction signal box.
