Adrian and Corina got to the yard for an early start. They drove the company van up to Newbury to pick Neil up and three concrete mile posts that he had made. They then had to make a detour down to Sway in the New Forest to collect a double coal bunker which had been kindly donated to the railway. On the way back they stopped off at Alresford for breakfast in the West Country Buffet.
When the rest of the gang turned up for action, Eddie and Adam undertook the line inspection to Alton, while Adrian N and Brian Hi walked to Alresford.
On the return to base, Eddie and Adam resumed the chair nut oiling task towards Alton, and Adrian N, Adrian C, Neil and Brian Hi went down to the Butts Signal Box to reclaim some more bricks. Brian stuck blue roll up his nostrils to avoid getting brick dust in them as the previous week...lol
