WANTED
Please can you help us.
If you have any unwanted railway books, models, scenery items or transport related items such as planes or buses that you would be prepared to donate to us as a group we would be extremely grateful.
The Saturday Permanent Way Gang try to raise their own funds as much as possible to cover the cost of manufacturing and maintaining items of lineside furniture on the Mid Hants Railway. Some examples that can be seen along the line are the
mile posts
bridge numbers
point oiling equipment cabinets
gradient posts, whistle boards, and parts of the plate layers huts.
This year we are planning on having a sales stand at the Diesel and main steam galas, and maybe others, so we are looking for second hand books, model railway and any other related items. Unfortunately we cannot accept magazines as we find these do not sell and storage space is an issue.
If you have anything you feel is appropriate we would be very grateful. Collection can be made from the Southampton, Winchester, Alton and Newbury areas for larger donations.
