A cast of thousands turned out, well at least for this morning, at base first thing. Something seemed to pull a number away for Saturday afternoon, cannot think what!
Ian J, Adrian N & Pete headed for Alton on the walk, with Brian Hi & Bill heading for Alresford. In this heat we were keeping out extra eye sharply peeled for any track distortions, thankfully no issues.
This left John, Adrian C and Corina at Medstead to undertake more Wickham trolley rebuilding work (although we are still at the dismantling stage), and Eddie, Chris, Martin B & Adam headed down into the Alton section to carry on with the fishplate oiling.
By lunchtime the weather was just too hot, with those people returning to base. Ian J & Bill went out for a punishing strimming session, at Arleside, they lasted an hour and a half. The remainder regrouped at Medstead and carried on the Wickham work.
