Wishing to take full advantage of the Easter weekend's good weather, Neil, Martin W, and Adrian decided to spend an extra day on the Railway to push forward the construction work on the Chawton Heights Pway hut. A great day unfolded with numerous tasks completed. The roof was felted and edge battens fixed, the brick course under the door threshold was laid, the window and internal window board were fitted, infill timbers above the window were cut and fixed in place, cork bungs were inserted in the holes in the wall timbers, the door leaf was hung, and mortar weathering fillets were applied to the corbels either side of the chimney.
