A gang of 5 reported for duty in showery conditions. Pete and Neil undertook the line inspection to Alton with Eddie and Brian Hi Alresford bound. This left John, Martin W and Brian Ha to go down the line to Grosvenor bank to begin digging out sleeper beds for the impending chair bolt replacement work to be carried out under line occupation next month (with a small adjournment to take breakfast at Alresford).
Joined later by Eddie and Brian (Pete and Neil were on a half day), the gang managed to progress the task from The Grosvenor hut to just beyond Grosvenor Land bridge. Hot work once the showers had stopped.
