This was the first weekend of the railways Thomas the tank engine event. A much smaller than usual gang assembled at M&4M. Martin W. Ian R and Tony went to Alresford to do a scrap run. The scrap ending up in the skip in M&4M yard. After the scrap run, they went to The Butts to take apart 3 rail panels, to reclaim the sleepers so they can be used for sleeper changing over the coming weeks. The 3 panels originated from the Gosport area. Neil and Paul arrived and did the track inspection and point oiling up to Alton.
Corina & Adrian also went up the Butts, to dig out sleeper beds ready for the Tuesday evening working party. They managed to dig out five in total.
It was decided by all to call it a day around 2pm when thunder, lightening & heavy hail descended on the area.
