Saturday 17th March

Your author and two other members of the gang were away on a jolly to Oxford, but several die hards braved cold and snowy conditions to carry out the line inspections and to continue with the annual fishplate oiling exercise. The oiling gang managed to process half an mile of plates during the course of the day, not a bad effort considering the weather.
