The usual early morning line inspections were put on hold with the No.15 yard points at Ropley requiring some maintenance. This job was duly completed ahead of time and under budget leaving a fishplate oiling team of Eddie, Martin W, Adam, Chris and Neil to resume this task just past the fir trees on the straight into Ropley, and Adrian C, Corina and Keith H to return to HQ to undertake the line inspection to Alton. The walkers then returned to Ropley to meet the oiling team as they had just finished their day's work at Bighton road bridge (photos with thanks to Adam, Neil and Corina).
