With similar weather conditions to Saturday (a wet morning and dry afternoon), Monday saw the mid-week gang replacing sleepers at the London end crossing at Alresford Station with the hardwood variety, finished off with a good helping of fresh, new ballast in the beds.

The work continued into Tuesday morning, and following completion, Richard,
Tony, and John were sent to Alton to fix the fence alongside the signal
box, as the local misfits had pulled the pins out of the fence posts! The remainder of the gang finished off their day tidying up and disposing of the old ballast and sleepers, transported by Atlas wagon to parts
unknown!
