Unfortunately heavy, persistent rain stopped play today, which was to have been either work on the new Pway hut, or digging out ballast beds for timber replacement work at Alresford. Five enthusiastic gang members were present first thing in the morning waiting for the rain to stop as forecast at midday, but the forecast turned out to be incorrect (which came as no surprise!), and the towel was eventually thrown in at around 2pm.
Hopefully the mid-week gang will have more luck on Monday/Tuesday when they return to work after the Xmas break.
