The two days comprised of a variety of tasks for the mid-week gang. On Monday they were divided into two contingents. Some members headed out onto the M&FM to Alton section to undertake a general tidy up of tree debris along the lineside. The remains of fallen and cut up trees that had amassed from the previous weeks storms were collected up, and brought back to a location near Brick Kiln Lane, where they were put to good use in the Pway Biodiversity Enhancement Scheme to create hedgehog habitat. The remainder of the gang transported point timbers and bags of ballast down to Alresford, in readiness for further replacement work at the country end of the Station, and this also presented them with the opportunity to deliver concrete slabs and cement to the new Pway hut site for the following Saturday's working party.
Tuesday's duties comprised of further tidying up, with Richard M and John B walking out to Hampshire Hunt bridge on the Alton section to burn fallen material, and Keith B and Keith H travelling out to Grosvenor Road on the Ropley section, to dispose of a fallen Willow tree. The Pway tool shed roof, another victim of the recent storms, was also repaired with a new layer of felt by John W.
