Tuesday 1st September- The last post

It was the final Tuesday evening session of the year, with a smaller team of 4 signing on for duty at M&FM (Corina, John, Keith H, and Adrian C). The first task of the evening was to load the Wickham trailer with c. 500 Panloc fastenings, 4 scaffold tower frames and boards, the chimney brickwork corbel former, and a chimney pot. The latter items were then dropped off at The Grosvenor hut site and empty bulk bags loaded, before heading further down the line towards Ropley to collect a pile of pine logs from the cess.

With the bags and logs unloaded back up at M&FM, the gangs focus was then directed towards the main task of the evening, the further replacement of keys with the Panloc fastenings alongside the motor bike field towards Brick Kiln Lane bridge. Despite  being few in number, the 'fantastic four' managed to fit all of the Panlocs just before the light faded. There will be a few aching limbs on Wednesday morning!
