A sunny and dry day greeted the early morning gang. After the usual teas and catching up they separated and departed for their duties.
Keith B, Brian Ha, and Bill walked to Alresford , and Ian J, Keith H, and Brian Hi went up line to Alton on the track inspections and point oiling.
Adrian C, Eddie, Martin W, and Graham , later joined by Corina and Neil, finished off the fishplate oiling in the head shunt and the sidings at Alresford.
Later on in the day, Graham, Neil (much to their excitement!) and Corina decided to have a ride on Diesel which was running short trips in Alresford Station for Thomas week.
Keith B and Brian Ha after the inspections, went up to Chawton to assess a couple of trees which had fallen down across the fence line that was in the process of being replaced. Brian Hi and Bill meanwhile went down into the bottom yard at M&FM to construct a wire dispensing drum, which will hopefully avoid anymore tangles! We wait with bated breath.
Ian J did some more strimming in the vicinity of Northside View hut working on the downside towards Alresford.
