Saturday 30th December

It was a day to work off the Xmas over indulgences with an initial team of 7 assembling at M&FM. With a standard two train service operating, Adrian N and Chris headed off on the line inspection to Alresford and Brian Hi, Adam, guest John L and Adrian C Alton bound. John M stayed behind to attend to undertake some maintenance work on Wickham Trolley No.1.

Neil and Paul joined the line walkers at Alton for the trip back to HQ, and then having collected tools, returned to Alton to ease the doors on the Point Oiling Cabinets and to re-locate the London end cabinet to the up side of the head shunt.

Eddie joined the gang at HQ, and accompanied by Chris attended to the cleaning of the slide chairs in the points (which had accumulated a mixture leafs and other detritus), starting at Alton and then on to Alresford. This left Adrian's N and C, Brian Hi, John's M and L, and Adam to go to The Butts to carry on with the brick reclaim task.
