Saturday 14th December

A smaller gang than the previous week gathered at M&FM, with Keith B and Eddie setting off on the line inspection to Alresford, and Keith H and John departing for Alton, leaving Adrian to load the fireplace lintel for the hut onto the van, before rendezvousing with  Ian J at Alresford to make an early start on bricklaying.

A productive day was had, with the fireplace rising to within three courses of the start of the stack. The line walkers joined the two bricklayers in the afternoon, and continued with bank clearance work, albeit without the benefit of a bonfire, as the material was too wet from rain the previous day.
