The gang were away from MHR metals on their annual visit to the Swanage Railway, with 6 members enjoying a good day out. The weather was kind to them, despite the less than friendly forecast, and on their return to Norden at the end of the day, there was the added bonus of finding the Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum at Norden open to visitors (it had always been closed on previous visits to the Railway-Ed.) The Museum, despite being quite small in size is highly recommended, and a good insight into the ball clay mining industry in the Purbecks, which is now a shadow of its former self.
