9 members of the gang reported today to Medstead, on this a supposed non-running day? With two Charter trains on the line our plan to use the Wickham trolley was not to be. Adrian, Neil and John took the company transport to do two runs to pick up bricks for the construction of the next chimney on the P/way hut. Ian, Mick, Paul, Keith H &B and Eddie went to Alresford cutting to put the remaining Panloc's we have into the line. We were visited by the Thumper and a persistent amount of rain. Returning to Medstead, we helped unload the two pallets of brick and retired for lunch.
The afternoon saw a slightly depleted gang of 7 descend on the Baigent's Copse hut site where further ground clearance took place, together with the partial excavation of the chimney foundation trench, and the cutting up of timbers before fading light brought play to a close.
