A clear crisp day greeted Adrian C and Corina. Corina had persuaded Adrian to put the bird boxes up on the p-way huts, hoping to encourage new visitors of the feathered kind.
Whilst fitting the boxes on Arleside, Northside View, The Grosvenor and The Grove huts , Corina took some photographs of the passing loco's in the gala.

Nice pics against that blue sky. Locos as they should be – working. I killed a couple of hours at the NRM before catching my train home. Theirs are very nice and clean but lacking character and vitality. Southern steam is represented in the great hall by MN Ellerman Lines (with the boiler cut in section) and a Q1.
