After the fun of the previous day, a Sunday Special. Adrian C and Ian J decided to undertake some strimming so turned up for duty at M&FM. After a slightly later start than usual, they set out to clear the banks around the Arleside Pway hut. With a stop in between for breakfast in Alresford Station Cafe, the task was finished off in one and a half hours. They still had alot of energy to expend, so upon the return to base decided to undertake a line inspection to Alresford. The opportunity was also taken to check the recently oiled fishplate bolts at the same time, as they work themselves loose far too easily after fishplate oiling has taken place. They arrived in Alresford hot and in need of refreshment, which was taken in the form of ice cream from the Station Shop. Ahh, that time of year, ice creams, fine weather, sun on your back, and a whole railway with plant life growing in front of your eyes!
