A very overcast day greeted a depleted gang. After the usual refreshments, they separated for their allotted duties. Adrian, Keith H and Bill went down line on the track inspection to Alresford, whilst Keith B, Pete and Martin went up line to Alton. Corina and Brian Hi meanwhile went down to Ropley and Alresford to oil the points, and then removed 18 wooden palettes and the remains of an enamel sign from the back of platform 2 at Alresford station. These were loaded onto the company vehicle, assisted by the line walkers, with the former dropped off at Ropley for fire lighting fuel and the latter at M&FM for possible restoration by the Building Department..
The gang reassembled up at M&FM just before midday, and after another round of tea, Adrian, Corina, Bill, Keith H, Keith B, Martin W and Martin R (who had joined them) went down to Chawton to finish off the fencing down to the bridge.
