A team of seven were on duty, and following the replenishing of energy reserves with fish and chips, biscuits, and tea, Wickham No. 1 (with attached weed killer trailer) was taken down the line to Alresford where the remaining stretch of undergrowth around the outer home signal wires in Sun Lane cutting was strimmed and treated with weed killer. More weed killing was carried out on the return to M&FM, between Sun Lane cutting and Sutton cutting, and in the main line from Bennett's Siding to M&FM Station on what was the last day of operation for the trailer, before being converted back to a general purpose vehicle.
